Yorkshire Forward is the Regional Development Agency responsible for the sustainable economic development and regeneration of the Yorkshire and Humber area. Welsh Development Agency

The Welsh Development Agency (WDA) is the Economic Development Agency for Wales, created to help businesses start and develop, grow and prosper.

The challenges and opportunities of engaging with private sector content creation companies and supporting them to achieve their full potential in the knowledge economy are intrinsic to the effective use and success of Broadband services and infrastructure.

The Broadband Wales programme announced by the Welsh Assembly Government in July 2002 seeks to ensure that the whole of Wales benefits from access to affordable broadband services. As part of this programme the Media Technologies Department of the WDA are delivering key elements, including the FibreSpeed project, Broadband Support Scheme and the 'Try Before You Buy' schemes. The WDA Business Development team with over 25 years experience has developed a comprehensive range of highly effective services designed to meet the needs of small and medium sized companies. Technium, the technology led incubation network in Wales, in particular provides world class support that enables the successful commercial exploitation of new ideas and business models.

Scottish Executive

The Scottish Executive is the devolved government for Scotland and was established in 1999. It is a coalition between the Scottish Labour Party and the Scottish Liberal Democrat Party and is responsible for most of the issues of day-to-day concern to the people of Scotland, including health, education, justice, rural affairs and transport. The Scottish Executive's main aims are to work to encourage and stimulate economic growth, work to tackle poverty and disadvantage, to improve and sustain the environment and to help all communities live in peace and safety.

Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment Northern Ireland (DETI)

DETI is responsible for economic policy development, including telecommunications, energy, tourism and mineral development. DETI's Telecoms Policy Unit operates within UK policy to develop and implement complementary initiatives aimed at encouraging the development of Northern Ireland's telecoms infrastructure.

Broadband Stakeholders Group

The Broadband Stakeholder Group (BSG) is the key advisory group promoting the adoption of broadband services. The BSG works as a facilitator, bringing together stakeholders from across the broadband value chain to share knowledge and work in partnership to support the UK's ongoing transition towards being a world leading connected economy by 2010.
